AUSTIN - Criminal charges against Longhorn Partners Pipeline LP for working on its pipeline without a city permit were dropped ACWednesday.

The City of Austin's move to withdraw the charges was expected. U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks ruled earlier this month that the city had no jurisdiction over the federally regulated pipeline, and he threatened to impose heavy sanctions if the city pursued the matter.
